A convenient tour where all the travel and lodging arrangements are handled by us. This tour brings you to the so-called middle region of the Andamans archipelago. The journey starts early in the morning with a hotel pickup from Port Blair, after which you will be taken to the Middle Strait Jetty via the Great Andaman Trunk Road. You pass through the reserve forests that are home to the Jarawa Settlements after crossing the Jirkatang checkpoint. You will take a vehicle ferry to the Baratang Jetty, also known as the Nilambur Jetty after being driven around 90 to 100 kilometers to the Middle Strait Jetty from Port Blair. At the Nilambur Jetty, you'll enter the Middle Andamans Tehsil, and the remainder of your journey promises to be thrilling. You will take a boat to the limestone caves, which were created over millions of years by naturally occurring water pouring onto limestone rock. After exploring the caves, board the fiber boat once more and head to the Nilambur Jetty, where you will be dropped off for a one-hour journey to the Mud Volcano.
Spend some time exploring the Mud Volcano before heading out to Rangat which will be a 60 KM drive and which might take around 2-3 Hours. Once in Rangat stay overnight in a comfortable air-conditioned room. On the next day you will be visiting the Morcidera Beach, Dhaninallah Mangrove Walkway and the Amkunj Beach before heading back to Port Blair on the same route. You may as well choose to visit the Yeratta Mangrove Park, please select the add-on while booking. The trip ends with a drop in Port Blair.
On day 1 your journey starts with a pick-up from your hotel's lobby at around 3:30 AM in the morning. Undergo a short briefing session before starting your journey on the NH 4 or the Great Andaman Trunk Road.
After a drive of about 30 Kilometres you cross the Ferrargunj check post, continue another 15-16 kilometres on the same road to reach the Jirkatang check post where you will have to wait for about half an hour to an hour for your permits to be assigned.
We suggest you to get freshened up (if required) at the Jirkatang check post, as this point on you will be entering the reserve forests and in a convoy formation the vehicle will ply for around 40 odd kilometres without any stoppage enroute. Visitors are prohibited to get down from the vehicle during this part of the journey.
You will get to witness Jarawa Tribal individuals during this part of your journey.
This journey will come to a halt at the Middle Strait Jetty where you will be boarding a vehicle ferry to arrive at the Baratang Jetty also known as the Nilambur Jetty which is on the other side of the creek.
Arrive at the jetty and get freshened up before boarding a fibre boat to the Limestone Caves, the journey to the Limestone Caves is through the thick mangrove forests and takes around 20-25 minutes one way. On arrival at the Limestone Cave's jetty you will have to walk for another 1-1.2 kilometres on paved ways to reach the natural wonders.
Explore the caves for about an hour before boarding the same fibre boat to get back to the Baratang Jetty/Nilambur Jetty.
Once at the Nilambur Jetty you will be boarding a vehicle. This car will drive you through a thin path to the Mud Volcanos of Baratang Island, it takes nearly an hour to reach the Mud Volcanos.
Spend some time at the Mud Volcanos before being transferred to Rangat for an overnight stay.
On the second day you will be waking up early in the morning and heading for a sightseeing tour of Rangat. You may choose to visit the following suggested places.
